Keywords and Subject Terms |
Many databases use specific subject terms to refer to a topic.
If you perform a search but use an incorrect subject term it will
not find anything. Check with the database for a correct list,
or use keyword search.

Engines |
A search engine allows you to search the Internet for specific terms
or a phrase. When you type in a search term or query, a search engine
will provide you with a list of web sites that contain the search
term you entered.
You can obtain better results
from a search engine, by using a few tricks.
Place phrases in “quotations”
Place a + sign before important
terms you wish to include in your search.
Likewise, place a – sign before
terms you would like to exclude from your search results.
