Give Your Students a Head Start with a Library Orientation

Looking for a way to improve students' papers or assignments, help them get more out of your class, and establish good research skills? Try a Library orientation!

An orientation to the Library and its resources takes away the fear and uncertainty of not knowing something and helps to encourage a habit of lifelong learning.  We can customize an orientation  to assist with a specific assignment or provide general information on the resources available on a particular subject. We can also show students how to effectively search the Internet and online databases.

Request a Library Orientation

*Please note that only faculty at South Seattle Community College can request an orientation. Students interesed in an orientation are invited to stop by the reference desk with specific questions or attend one of our many free library workshops.

To request an orientation, please fill out the request form and turn it in at the library reference desk. The online form is also avaiable below for submission online. It takes 2 business days to respond to a request, please allow enough time when requesting an orientation.
