Library workshops include instruction and hands on practice on searching the Internet, using library databases and finding subject specific resources.

The Library provides reference assistance in the form of library instruction or brief answers for currently enrolled students, SSCC faculty, SSCC staff and community borrowers. We do not conduct research for you, but are happy to assist you in locating the information you need. Contact a Librarian

Library Workshops 

The Library is offering a series of free one-hour sessions on using online resources, developing research strategies, writing citations, and using the Internet. To find out more, see the schedule of sessions. You may sign up for a workshop at the library reference desk or by calling (206) 768-6408. Individual drop-ins are also welcome.

Library 101: Introduction to Information Resources 

Learn to use the various electronic databases available in the Library, the online catalog, Internet resources and other standard research tools and retrieval techniques.  Develop strategies for locating and selecting information resources in the research process.  Strengthen your skills for your college career.  Library 101 transfers as an elective.
