Online, self-paced series of 1-credit courses. Students can sign up for one or more, and learn stress-free, time-saving strategies to find, evaluate, and use needed information. Prereq: Placement in ENG101.

Go to LIB180: Research for the 21st Century (5 credits)
Builds skills and identifies personal learning styles and strengths to facilitate learning and research for college students. Through a quarter-long research project, students will examine the strategies for locating, evaluating and applying information resources in the research process. Prereq: Placement in ENG101.

 

Go to SSC187: Information, Knowledge and Power (5 credits)
Explores political, economic, and cultural aspects of information related to the ongoing struggle for social justice. Critically evaluates information sources for incorporation into personal knowledge base.
