Academic Advisers · See an adviser when choosing, changing or dropping courses to insure that you are progressing toward your degree, that you are preparing for your major and for your transfer. To make an appointment to see an adviser, sign up at the Information Desk or call 206 764-5387.
Email advising is an efficient way to access advisors. Email to advisorsouth@sccd.ctc.edu is read daily and responses are sent as soon as possible.
Counselors can assist with personal problems, career counseling and academic advising. To see a counselor, sign up in Registration or call 206 764-5387 to make an appointment.
Faculty · Meet with your instructors during their office hours to clarify course material and to get help if you are having difficulty with attendance or coursework. Instructors can also provide advice about your field of study.

The college provides reasonable accommodations in all academic and vocational programs for students with disabilities. ESS can provide personnel to help students access buildings/classrooms and to communicate with faculty about necessary accommodations

Learn how the financial aid process works so that you can access the most aid that you qualify for. The online overview provides essential information and deadlines. Get to know Financial Aid staff who can answer questions and explain the why's and how's of financial aid system.

You can check out books and periodicals, use computers, view audio-visual materials, access newspapers, magazines and journals and reference sources through online databases, and find the best online sites. You can also reserve a room for your study group session. Friendly librarians have created tutorials to get you started on your research and are available for in-person help.

The MAST tutors can assist with math and science coursework. Find out how you can earn credit for your study time in MAST.

TRiO Student Success Services - RSB 67 (that's us!)
For first-generation, low-income and disabled students, SSS offers a wide variety of services, including the College Success class (HDC101), college transfer and scholarship assistance, and peer mentoring. Visit CLIC for tutoring and a comfortable place to study, use computers, attend a workshop or meet up with friends.
Tutor Center - RSB 12
Tutors may be available for students who need additional aid in mastering a subject area. "Request for Tutor" forms are available in the Tutor Center and should be completed and signed by an instructor.
